Bitcoin mining pool once handling 2.3% of network shuts after hashrate falls 65%

Why is Binance shutting down its mining pool?

Binance Pool’s hashrate fell roughly 65% since December 2025 to about 9.2 exahashes per second, under 1% of Bitcoin’s network, leading to a Nov. 10 shutdown.

What does this mean for Bitcoin mining centralization?

The exit concentrates block production among Foundry USA, AntPool and F2Pool, which together control about 64% of the network’s hashrate.

How should miners react?

Miners have roughly four weeks to move their ASICs to other pools before Binance Pool ceases operations on Nov. 10.
